SUBSCRIBE @MusicBoxLatest लोक धुनों में पूर्वी एक अत्यन्त प्रचलित एवं लोक प्रिय धुन है जो उत्तर प्रदेश के पूर्वांचल तथा बिहार के पश्चिमाचल में बड़े चाव से गाय जाता है ! पूर्वी के कई अंग है जिन्हे बहुत कम लोग जानते है ! पूर्वी आम, पूर्वी छापरहिया और पटनहिया का ज्ञान तो बहुतो को है, किन्तु इसके अतिरिक्त दारुन पूर्वी, चम्पई पूर्वी और धन्नड़ पूर्वी अपनी - अपनी अलग पहचान रखते है, जिसे कम ही लोग जानते है ! मात्राओ और धुनों में थोड़ा सा अंतर हुआ करता है | इन धुनों पर भी इक्का दुक्का हमारे पारम्परिक गीत विधमान है | गायक इन्हे यदा - कदा गाते भी जरूर है | पर इनके नाम और पहचान से वाकिफ नहीं हैं कि वह कौन पूर्वी गा रहे हैं | पूर्वी तभी तक सिर्फ पुरुष गायक ही गया करते थे। जब कल्पना पटवारी ने पूर्वी गाई तो लगा, कि पहली बार पूर्वी को इतना अच्छा गाया जा सकता है। कहा जाता था कि पूर्वी गाने के लिये करेजा चाहिये। इतनी अच्छी गायिकी के लिये संगीत कि उचित शिक्षा बहुत ज़रूरी है। Singer: Kalpana Patowary Music Director: Madhukar Anand Lyrics: Tarakeshwar Mishra Rahi - Bhojpuri poet and writer. She is the first woman to record the ‘Chhaprahiya Purvi’ folk form of Purvanchal i.e. a particular region of Bihar and Uttar-Pradesh in 2004.
