DeepCutsArchive is a community-driven archive of rare, behind-the-scenes musician footage. We collect and curate interviews, studio sessions, rehearsals, soundchecks, backstage clips, and other footage that most fans have never seen — preserving music history one clip at a time.

Yes, completely free. You can browse, watch, and share every clip without an account. Creating a free account lets you like clips, track what you've watched, submit clips, and request artists.

Clips are embedded from public video platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. We don't host any video files — we link to the original source. Our discovery system automatically finds rare footage, and community members submit clips they find.

There are two ways to submit a clip:

1. On the website: Go to the Submit page, paste the video URL (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram), add the artist name and a short description of why the clip is special, then hit submit.

2. Chrome Extension: Install the DeepCutsArchive Clipper and submit clips with one click while browsing YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram. The extension auto-fills the video URL and title.

All submissions are reviewed before going live to keep the archive focused on genuinely rare, interesting footage.

We're looking for footage that most fans have never seen:

Great submissions: rare interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, studio sessions, rehearsals, soundchecks, backstage clips, early/pre-fame footage, TV appearances, acoustic sessions, home recordings, drum/guitar/bass cam footage, music clinics and masterclasses, documentary clips.

Not what we're looking for: official music videos, full concerts that are widely available, fan-made edits/compilations, audio-only recordings, lyric videos, reaction videos.

When in doubt, ask yourself: “Would a dedicated fan of this artist be surprised to find this clip?” If yes, submit it.

Most submissions are reviewed within a few hours. If your clip meets our guidelines, it will appear on the site with your contributor credit. You won't receive a notification when it's approved — just check back on the artist's page.

Yes! Go to the Request an Artist page, choose whether it's a solo artist, band, studio, or venue, and enter the name. We'll research their bio, discography, and rare footage and add them to the archive. You'll receive an email when they've been added.

Videos occasionally get taken down by their original uploaders or copyright holders. We run automated checks to detect and remove broken clips, but some may slip through. If you find a broken video, please email us at the address below and include the clip URL. We'll remove it promptly.

Go to the Login page and sign up with Google, Facebook, or email and password. An account lets you like clips, track watched clips, submit footage, request artists, and appear on the Contributors page.

Go to the Login page and click “Forgot password?”. Enter your email address and we'll send you a reset link. If you signed up with Google or Facebook, you don't have a password — just click the Google/Facebook button to log in.

The DeepCutsArchive Clipper adds a small icon to your browser toolbar. When you're watching a video on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram:

1. Click the DeepCutsArchive icon
2. The video URL and title are auto-filled
3. Add the artist name and why the clip is special
4. Click Submit

Batch mode: On Facebook group pages, the extension can scan the entire page for video links and let you submit multiple clips at once.

Login: Open the extension Settings to log in with your DeepCutsArchive account. This links submissions to your contributor profile.

Try these steps:

1. Make sure you're on a supported site (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram)
2. Refresh the page and try again
3. Check that the extension is enabled at chrome://extensions
4. If using batch mode on Facebook, scroll through the page first to load posts, then click Scan Again
5. If submissions fail, open Settings in the extension and check the Supabase URL and key are correct

If none of these work, email us with your browser version and a description of the issue.

By decade — 1950s through 2020s
By genre — Rock, Jazz, Blues, Punk, Hip-Hop, and more
By artist — alphabetical directory of all artists
By location — famous venues, studios, and cities
By category — interviews, studio sessions, live, rare, acoustic, etc.
Browse all — filter and sort the complete archive

Every clip page has share buttons for X (Twitter), Facebook, Reddit, WhatsApp, Telegram, and a copy link option. On mobile, you can also use your device's native share menu. Sharing helps us grow the archive and preserve music history.

We respect copyright and will promptly remove any clip at the request of the artist or rights holder. Please email us at the address below with the clip URL and your relationship to the content. We typically respond within 24 hours.

The clips on DeepCutsArchive are embedded from public video platforms — we don't own or host the footage. If you want to use a specific clip, you'll need to contact the original uploader or rights holder. Our site content (descriptions, bios, etc.) should not be reproduced without permission.
