Lil John Rogers soloing with Ike Stubblefield and Friends Bamboo Room 2/11/12. Fantastic Hammond playing (with the bass on the pedals) with Ike Stubblefield, Little John Roberts on Drums, Grant Green Jr. on guitar. Roberts has played on Jeff Lorber's albums among others. Green is son of the late jazz guitar legend Grant Green, and is a member of the group Masters of Groove. South Florida has a great music scene; for West Palm venues check out http://DoWestPalm.com. In Lake Worth the Bamboo Room is the place to see fantastic players like this. Stubblefield is truly a master of the B3 (there aren't a lot of guys left who can play that classic organ like this). Stubblefield played with The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Rare Earth. Getting back to his roots on Hammond B3 organ in 1970 and with his vast understanding of music and feel, Ike Stubblefield performed live on stage from 1970-1975 with George Benson, B.B. King, Ike and Tina Turner, Curtis Mayfield, Al Green, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, The Jerry Garcia Band, Johnny Adams, Bobby Caldwell, Boz Scaggs, Esther Phillips and The Pointer Sisters. It wa s a truly amazing show.
