A vary rare clip of Zydeco legend BOOZOO CHAVIS of Lake Charles, Louisiana performing "Motor Dude Special" for the 1986 M.D.A Telethon (Lake Charles). This was Boozoo's 1st TV performance after he began his comeback in 1986 with the release of his classic 1986 album "Louisiana Zydeco Music" for the Maison de Soul label. This is the original line-up of his 'Magic Sounds' band featuring: Accordian, Vocals - Boozoo Chavis; Rubboard - Charles Chavis; Bass Guitar - Shelton Jackson; Guitar - Guitar Thomas. On added percussion (drumsticks & timekeeper) is Zydeco star Rockin' Sidney Simien ("My Toot Toot"), who earlier that year had produced Boozoo's hit single "Dog Hill" at his ZBC Recording Studio in Lake Charles.

Wilson Anthony "Boozoo" Chavis (pronounced CHAY-viss) (October 23, 1930 – May 5, 2001) was an American accordion player, singer, songwriter and bandleader. He was one of the pioneers of zydeco, the fusion of Louisiana Creole and blues music developed in southwest Louisiana.
