Filé Gumbo has played Seattle World Class Blues club the Highway 99 several times sine it opened a few years ago. We finally got video to prove it at a recent monthly Zydeco dance! And here's one of the first Zydeco songs to ever get recorded, the original by Boozoo Chavis.

Wilson Anthony "Boozoo" Chavis (pronounced CHAY-viss) (October 23, 1930 – May 5, 2001) was an American accordion player, singer, songwriter and bandleader. He was one of the pioneers of zydeco, the fusion of Louisiana Creole and blues music developed in southwest Louisiana.
