There's a Gold Star in Her Window ~ Tex Ritter and His Texans (1944) (World War II song)
Please consider supporting my work: paypal.me/HankfanHankfan Released as #CapitolRecords 147, this was composed by the legendary #FrankHarford with help from Tex. It's an absolutely wonderful patriotic number set in the #WorldWar2 era. This was really early in #TexRitter's career on Capitol and it was the “B” side to “Have I Stayed Away Too Long?,” a beautiful tune from the pen of #FrankLoesser. You'll notice that my musical tastes run all over the place. If I'm not posting your favorite genre, give it time and I'm sure I'll get to it as long as it isn't rap, opera, or new "country!"
