Tesla Gigafactory Texas 22 August 2022 Cyber Truck & Model Y Factory Construction Update (07:30AM)
Gigafactory Texas on 22 August 2022! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built! What a way to start off a new week! Giga Texas hits a major milestone of producing over 1,000 cars per week! We have been seeing evidence of the production ramp increasing, and now we know they are at around 200 cars per day and continuing to ramp higher! We also see a new major development on the east side with a helicopter pad installed and lines painted! This is near the east secondary entrance and would be easy for arriving helicopters to debark passengers and quickly walk right into the factory! Many more interesting deliveries and developments to see in the video today, with narration and discussion! Check it out and thanks for watching! Timestamps: Drone flight overview with discussion & illustration: 0:06 to 2:14 Drone flight footage & infographics: 2:20 to 28:22 Here are the highlights from today's video: - In light of the milestone of more than 1,000 cars produced per week, we see many Model Y’s arranged on the south end, as well as many parked in both supercharger locations and others exiting the factory on both the west and south ends! Transports continue to arrive and quickly load cars while new replacements fill in right behind them now! - On the west side of General Assembly where the expansion of cargo bays is underway, we see continued work to install rebar and concrete for load levelers on the 8 new bays, while at least 5 more new bays are in the process of being saw cut nearby. Two steel ramps waiting for movement and installation sit near this location, while trailers are arriving and being moved into the operational cargo bays. This is also where General Assembly lines 2 and 3 are being constructed inside. - On the east side near the secondary entrance and where the small parking lot was recently paved, we see a new helicopter landing pad! This is clearly marked with a circle and an “H” in the center of a larger, octagonal marked perimeter. We may see s short fence installed around this pad as well as the rest of the parking lot is completed with light poles and curbs. - On the east side of the casting machine structure, we see literally thousands (possibly 2K -3K in total) of castings arranged in scaffolding and also on the ground. These are for production and over the past few days, it is obvious that some of these are being used for new cars, while more castings are made and brought out to replace those that were used in Body-in-White. - At the battery cathode plant, we see active work with cementitious spray on the roof, now over about 1/3 of the total length. We also see raised steel observation structures on the third floor (most hanging from the roof) with steel stairs installed for access, while HVAC hangers are also being installed from the ceiling over both the 2nd and 3rd floors. On the west side, the manifold of electrical conduit continues to develop in the area where tanks or other, related equipment will be installed next to the main structure. - We see continued construction at the north electrical substation, including installation of storm water pipe and concrete vaults on the north end, and sections on the main clearing area being prepared for bases of structures that will hold the electronic components such as circuit breakers and switches.
