"You'll Find Out" — Oleander | Shrinking the Blob (1997) The fifth track from Shrinking the Blob — the original independent recording of a song that would later open February Son, Oleander's gold-certified 1999 major label debut. Hearing this version alongside the February Son re-recording gives a rare insight into how Oleander's sound evolved between their independent Sacramento roots and their Universal Records breakthrough. This track also carries an additional piece of history — "You'll Find Out" appeared alongside "Candy Store" and "Silver Lined" on this album, and both "Candy Store" and "Silver Lined" later appeared as B-sides on the "Why I'm Here" CD single released with February Son — making Shrinking the Blob the origin point for some of the most sought-after Oleander recordings in the catalog. From Shrinking the Blob — released independently on Fine Records in 1997 — alongside "Down When I'm Loaded," "Why I'm Here," and early versions of future fan favorites.
