Are You There?" — Oleander | Unwind (2001) The lead single from Unwind — and Oleander's second highest-charting song overall. "Are You There?" became the most added track at active rock, album rock, and alternative radio at its debut in early 2001, announcing Oleander's return with one of the most urgent and darkly driven songs of their career. The music video was directed by Marc Webb — who would later go on to direct The Amazing Spider-Man — depicting a skater girl sneaking out of the house to make her way to an Oleander show. From Unwind — released March 6, 2001 on Universal Records — alongside "Halo," featured in American Pie 2, "Champion," which became a symbol of the sacrifice of first responders following September 11, 2001, and "Jimmy Shaker Day," later featured in the 2002 blockbuster Spider-Man. Oleander is a post-grunge band from Sacramento, California, US. Its name is derived from the poisonous flowering shrub oleander, which line the highways of Northern California.
