Inside Casting & Two 9K Giga Presses! Inside Stamping 2! 23 June 2023 Giga Texas Update (05:45AM)

Gigafactory Texas on 23 June 2023! This is where Model Y’s are built and soon Cyber Truck production will start! I received some tips the Casting Machine section of Giga Texas had window coverings removed recently and it might be a good opportunity to check in and see the progress that has happened in the last 4 and a half months, so I decided on doing another early morning flight and I was able to get some great views into Casting. Biggest news is that there are two 9K IDRA Giga Presses installed on the west bay, some reconfiguration work and new equipment installation in the center bay, and a completely new foundation with at least one, possibly two more Giga Press mounting foundations being constructed on the east bay! There are lots of other details to be seen inside, including Cybertruck castings laid out in several areas! Also, the early lighting and access gave me great views into the Stamping 2 area, especially now some of the walls have been removed on the south end! A crane was getting to work as I departed the site preparing to remove another large section of wall panels, further opening up this area ahead of expansion construction beginning. Timestamps: Drone flight overview with discussion & illustration: 0:06 to 3:22 Drone flight footage & infographics: 3:28 to 32:24 Here are a few other interesting highlights from today's drone flight: We get a full-length view inside the east half of the main building today, as I was able to take advantage of a new launching point for the drone and the darkness and well-lit interiors! Although I had to fly about 150 feet (30 meters) away from the building due to the powerlines, I think I was able to capture some very rarely seen views into this side of the main building! On the west side of the main building, in the mid-section area where I previously showed some windows had been removed on the third floor, we see a concrete pump truck preparing to pump concrete in through the openings for some additional concrete work in this section of the factory! On the northwest corner of the main factory, we see crews busy pressure washing the bare concrete external walls ahead of applying more of the white stain. Nearby, other crews were laying down tarps and adding plastic to the windows along the full angled NW corner and on the north end of the building! Progress applying the white stain continues are a rapid pace! The Megapack site shows additional earthwork on the east side under the powerlines. We see a concrete pump truck getting ready for work at the south end of the electrical switchyard, where crews have completed some of the forms around the rebar walls in the excavation pit. This is the first of many such pours to complete the wall structure of this underground vault. Just southeast of the temporary switchyard, we see crews busy installing two more concrete vaults for electrical conduit. This connects to similar conduits about 100 meters (330 feet0 to the south, just north of Tesla Road and part of the conduit installation that extends all the way over to the battery cathode complex. On the east side of the battery cathode structure, we see more trenching, rebar, and form work in what appears to be another structure under construction. This is a relatively long and thin structure, but with heavy foundations, so whatever will be built here seems likely to contain heavy machinery or equipment. Window installation continues at the north end, while the chiller plant continues to get machinery, pumps and pipes installed. Finally, we see the old oak tree near the old house has now been relocated about 100 meters (330 feet) due west, near the central roadway that runs N-S along the east parking lot. It appears some additional trees may be moved, including some crape myrtles and another large oak tree.
