Moxy Channel on YouTube: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ http://www.youtube.com/user/buzzsherman ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Mike Reno (of Loverboy fame) then called Michael Rynoski replaces Buzz Shearman and made his debut in music on Moxy's 4th album, drummer Bill Wade also left the band and was replaced by Danny Bilan. The album's title track "Under the Lights" and "High School Queen" did make the charts in Canada and would give a preview of the sound that Reno would take with him to his next band Loverboy that saw great success in the 1980s. But the album lacked the punch of the band's earlier works and had a laid-back style in the sound. Moxy then tours across Canada with Trooper and Triumph for the third time but the band no longer sees the type of response from either record sales or audiences it had with "Buzz" as the vocalist. "Buzz" had formed his own band called Buzz Saw with ex-Christmas guitarist Bob Bulger and drummer Frank Russe. Earl Johnson would leave the band in the summer of 1978 and be replaced by Woody West. "Buzz" would rejoin Moxy in late 1979 and tour Texas, leaving Reno free to form a new band. Mike Reno was introduced to Paul Dean who was rehearsing with a new band in a warehouse with a friend of Reno's. Over the next few weeks, Reno and Dean wrote songs together on guitar and drums. Meanwhile, Doug Johnson, who was working with another band at the time, joined the band, and Loverboy was born only 3 months after Mike had left Moxy. Although Michael Rynoskis (Mike Reno) vocals are clean it just doesn't fit in the Moxy mold. But then this isnt Moxy, this is a band that was left with the Moxy name and was forced by the record company to put out some radio play material. Missing the raw vocals that made the band by Buzz Sherman and founding member drummer Bill Wade shows a totally different band with a name of a hard rockin band of the past. Go to Canada or texas and any real true Moxy fan wont even recognize this as a Moxy album, but Loverboy fans will find Mike voice the same as with Loverboy and with Mike Writing the Majority of the songs the sound is more like Loverboy then Moxy. The album is considered more as a PRE-Loverboy record then Moxy's 4th album with today being Loverboy fans rather then Moxy fans buying the album.
