Michael Schenker wasn’t just another 70s rock guitarist. He was a prodigy. A tone pioneer. The guy other guitar heroes copied. So why did he keep disappearing? After launching his career with Scorpions as a teenager, Schenker went on to define the sound of UFO with legendary solos on songs like “Rock Bottom” and “Lights Out.” But just as success hit… he walked away. Again. And again. Bands. Tours. Record deals. Opportunities most players would kill for. He quit them all. This is the story of one of rock’s greatest talents — and the self-sabotage, pressure, and chaos that kept him from becoming a household name like Eddie Van Halen or Randy Rhoads. In this documentary-style deep dive, we break down: • his rise through Scorpions and UFO • the birth of the Michael Schenker Group • the walkouts and disappearances • the struggles behind the scenes • and what really happened to one of the most influential guitarists of the 70s and 80s If you love classic hard rock, guitar history, and the untold stories behind legendary players, this one’s for you.
