Jo-EL Sonnier joins The Contractors on stage with "Louisiana Saturday Night"
“The Contractors” kicked off the 60th Anniversary celebration of the music career of Jo-EL Sonnier with 90 minutes of traditional country and Cajun music. ” The Contractors feature Eugene Allen on vocals, fiddle, mandolin, and banjo. Steve Brantley and Lynn Wilson provide the other vocal power and guitars. Always supporting the vocals are Delene Allen on keyboard, Timothy Simpson on the bass, and Woodie Thornton on drums.

Jo-El Sonnier was an American singer-songwriter and accordionist who performed country music and Cajun music. Originally signed to Mercury Nashville Records, Sonnier charted several minor singles on the Billboard country charts in the late 1970s. By the late 1980s, he had signed to RCA Records, breaking through with the Top Ten hits "No More One More Time" and a cover of Richard Thompson's "Tear-Stained Letter".
