Here is a copy of the mega rare `Dogfeet` UK LP released in 1970 on the tiny Refection Label (REF L8), originally connected with CBS before going indie mid-1970, none of Reflection’s records were really promoted so most are very collectable today (What A Beautiful Place - Catherine Howe, Andwella’s Dream, Steamhammer etc), especially this one. It came in a single card sleeve on the distinctive blond/brown Reflection Label here in the UK. A top condition copy sold in 2019 for £1825 there are reissues available but any first 1970 UK issue on this label will be worth good money. Why not subscribe as I post rarities regularly! Side 1 1. Riding the heavier, more psychedelic, blues-rock found on the earlier side of Fleetwood Mac & Wishbone Ash their 1970 release was recorded at AIR studios in London, and never really made it much further outside the city limits. Bassist Dave Nichols, singer Alan Pearse, drummer Derek Perry and guitarist Trevor Povey first came together as Chicago Max, followed by brief stints as Sopwith Camel (not to be confused with the San Francisco-based outfit), Malibou and Armageddon. Working in a blues-rock vein. Produced by Andrew Cameron Milla, Pearse exhibited an attractive voice, while Povey's slashing guitar was quite effective (check out some of the effects he used on 'Evil Women'). Musically 'On the Road' harkened back to the bands' blues-rock roots, but extended tracks such as 'Now I Know', the attractive atmospheric ballad 'Reprise' and the Western-inspired 'Since I Went Away' set them apart from most of their contemporaries. Not that it mattered. The album vanished without a trace, followed in short order by the band.
The Band were a Canadian-American rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario. It consisted of Canadians Rick Danko, Garth Hudson, Richard Manuel and Robbie Robertson and American Levon Helm. The Band's music combined elements of Americana, folk, rock, R&B, jazz and country, which influenced artists including George Harrison, Elton John, the Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton and Wilco.
