"Runaway Train" (Demo) — Oleander | Runaway Train EP (2002) The fourth and closing track from the Runaway Train EP — the original demo recording of "Runaway Train," offering a raw, unfinished look at the song before it was fully produced for Joyride (2003). Hearing this demo alongside the EP version and the final Joyride studio recording gives a unique three-stage insight into how Thomas Flowers' deeply personal song evolved from its earliest form into one of the most emotionally resonant tracks on Joyride. This demo exists only on this EP — never officially released anywhere else — making it another essential piece of the Runaway Train EP's legacy as the rarest and most collectible release in the Oleander catalog. From the Runaway Train EP — released November 19, 2002 on Sanctuary Records, sold exclusively at Oleander concerts — also featuring the title track as heard in the Showtime film Bang Bang You're Dead starring Ben Foster, an acoustic version of "Rainy Day," and the previously unreleased "Parade."
