Heiliger Gral des Jazz - verschollenes Coltrane-Studioalbum wiederentdeckt. Hier zum Lost Album: https://uma.lnk.to/JohnColtrane Der Sensationsfund: 1963, im Jahr seines Albumklassikers "Impressions", nahm John Coltrane ein weiteres Album mit seinem berühmten Quartett aus McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison und Elvin Jones auf, das nicht veröffentlicht wurde! 55 Jahre galt es als verschollen, wurde überraschend im Nachlass des Musikers gefunden und erblickt jetzt erstmals das Licht der Welt. Auf diesem Album gibt es zwei völlig unbekannte und nie zuvor gehörte Originale: "Untitled Original 11383" und "Untitled Original 11386". Coltrane ist hier beide Mal am Sopransax zu hören. "11383" featuret ein gestrichenes Bass-Solo von Jimmy Garrison, eine ziemliche Rarität, und "11386" markierte einen bedeutenden Strukturwandel für das Quartett, da es zwischen den Soli immer wieder auf das Thema zurückkommt, was für das Repertoire des Ensembles nicht typisch war. http://www.universalmusic.at https://www.facebook.com/UniversalAustria http://instagram.com/universalmusic_austria

John William Coltrane (September 23, 1926 – July 17, 1967) was an American jazz saxophonist, bandleader, and composer. He is among the most influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz and 20th-century music. Born and raised in North Carolina, Coltrane moved to Philadelphia after high school, where he immersed himself in the local jazz scene, studied music, and served in the Navy toward the end of World War II before making his professional debut in 1945.
