Loverboy - "The Kid Is Hot Tonight" Released on "Loverboy" in 1980 Composer: Paul Dean & Bernie Aubin #loverboy #thekidishottonight #80s #mtv #pauldean #mikereno "The Kid Is Hot Tonite" is a song by Canadian rock group Loverboy. It was released in 1981 as the second and final single from their debut album, Loverboy. The song is interpreted by some to be about up-and-coming fellow Canadian singer/guitarist Bryan Adams. While not as big a chart success as their debut single, "Turn Me Loose", the song still reached number 20 in Canada and number 55 in the United States. Lyrics: We just heard of a brand new wave And we heard it's here to stay We'll have to wait and see if it's half of what they say We heard he opened up a brand new door Well you know that's what I'm lookin' for We'll have to wait and see if it makes you scream for more How do you like him so far? How do you like his show? How do you like the way he rocks and the way he rolls? How do you like his image? How do you like his style? How do you like the way he looks and the way he smiles? The kid is hot tonight Whoa, so hot tonight But where will he be tomorrow? The kid is hot tonight Whoa, so hot tonight But where will he be tomorrow? And we just heard of a brand new fad And they say it's gonna drive you mad We'll have to wait and see if it's the best you ever hear And we just heard of a brand new wave We heard it's headin' for an early grave We'll have to wait and see if there's anything we can save How do you like him so far? How do you like his show? How do you like the way he rocks and the way he rolls? How do you like his image? How do you like his style? How do you like the way he looks and the ways he smiles? The kid is hot tonight Whoa, so hot tonight But where will he be tomorrow? The kid is hot tonight Whoa, so hot tonight But tell me where will he be tomorrow? The kid is hot tonight Whoa, so hot tonight But where will he be, where will he be? The kid is hot tonight Whoa, so hot tonight Anybody goin' to feel The kid is hot tonight Whoa, so hot tonight The kid is hot tonight Whoa, so hot tonight Ohh yeah Ohh yeah Ohh yeah Yeah
