Sevendust's "Love" comes from their new album 'Blood & Stone' - out now! Buy/Stream at https://riserecords.lnk.to/bloodandstone LYRICS Love dangerous and mean Kills like a tyrant, we are human Trust, careless and vague Leads us to our bitter end, one final blow Run, Run like they’re right behind you Take what you want, none of it matters Be what you are. Oh no what have we done now Why do we fall so far below Why do we love if we don’t like the feeling No, just give me one good reason Love tells you you’re weak Arrogant, liar you’re not human Run, run like they really want you Do what you want What does it matter Be what you are Oh no what have we done now Why do we fall so far below Oh no where do we go now Why’s it so hard to be alone Why do we love if we don’t like the feeling No, just give me one good reason Where do we go if we cant live this life We’re wasting out time, we’re casing the life we love Where have we gone for so long, we’ve held on In the blink of an eye, you live and you die For what? #Sevendust #Love #BloodAndStone

About This Footage

This footage is a live performance of Sevendust's song "Love", taken from their 2020 album 'Blood & Stone'. What makes this clip notable is its raw energy and the band's ability to convey the emotional intensity of their music. At the time of filming, Sevendust was already established as one of the leading bands in the post-grunge movement, having released their self-titled debut album in 1997, which would eventually achieve gold certification.

Sevendust's sound is characterized by its heavy use of distorted guitars and driving rhythms, creating a sonic landscape that's both aggressive and melodic. The band's lead vocalist, Lajon Witherspoon, brings a sense of urgency to the performance, his voice soaring above the instrumentation as he belts out the lyrics. This is particularly evident in the song's chorus, where Witherspoon's vocals are pushed to the forefront, conveying the emotional desperation that defines the track.

What makes this clip rare or significant is its unbridled energy and the band's ability to connect with their audience. The footage captures a live performance at its most raw and honest, with no pretenses or artifice. The band members seem completely immersed in the music, feeding off each other's energy as they deliver a performance that's both intense and cathartic.

The song itself is a commentary on the destructive nature of love, with lyrics that paint a picture of a relationship that's toxic and all-consuming. The opening lines "Love dangerous and mean / Kills like a tyrant, we are human" set the tone for the rest of the track, which explores the darker side of love and relationships.

Watching this clip, viewers will get a sense of Sevendust's ability to craft music that's both heavy and melodic. The band's sound is characterized by its use of distorted guitars and driving rhythms, creating a sonic landscape that's both aggressive and emotive. Witherspoon's vocals bring a sense of urgency to the performance, conveying the emotional desperation that defines the track.

Sevendust's live performances are always intense and cathartic, with the band members feeding off each other's energy as they deliver a raw and honest show. This clip is no exception, capturing the band at their most energetic and emotive. As Witherspoon sings "Why do we fall so far below / Why do we love if we don't like the feeling", it's clear that Sevendust is a band that wears its heart on its sleeve, delivering music that's both personal and universal.

The clip ends with a sense of desperation, as Witherspoon asks "Where have we gone for so long? We've held on / In the blink of an eye, you live and you die / For what?" It's a haunting question, one that resonates deeply in the context of Sevendust's music. As the song fades out, it's clear that this is a band that's unafraid to explore the darker side of life, delivering music that's both heavy and emotive.
