The guitar became an orchestra with Geordie Walker's magic. The album was recorded when tension and the Berlin wall scaled high. This is my full cover version with Digitakt and Microfreak Stellar programmed and performed. My Peerless ES-295 is as close as I'll get to a 10k Gibson. THE RIG: The new Strymon Brig on the MN3005 setting brought the vintage delay vibe necessary to sound authentic in spades. I set the heel position of the handy DOD expression pedal to a slapback to play against with a dollop of modulation for the verses, then rocked toe-up on the choruses for a blown out wash as the mix tapers to less intense to sit behind. I was able to do this all in one live take. Beautiful, rich stereo BBD goodness. The Iridium is set to the Vintage Marshall setting through a virtual 8X12 cab IR stock on the unit. Sounds incredible and real direct.
