This whiskey fueled two-man frenzy of blues-driven rock'n'roll noise straight from Fort Wayne, Indiana promise to hit you like a shock wave and show you a foot-stompin' good time. Left Lane Cruiser is comprised of Joe Evans on slide guitar and vocals with Brenn Beck on one big-ass bass drum, harmonica and a toolbox full of percussive gear. The raw blues duo of LLC have practiced through thick and thin to hone a sound unlike any other and have been together long enough to have previously released a couple of self-produced EPs. "Let your soul drive what you do" is the premise of their music, "give it all you got, and everything is an instrument: trash cans, paint trays, hubcaps, ladders, you name it." Learning their craft by playing at house parties, at the corner streets of their home town, and rehearsing in a heatless garage, they have developed their personal take on the North Mississippi Hill Country sound. They have toured relentlessly, sharing the stage with artists such as Robert Belfour, Black Diamond Heavies, Hillstomp, and Chris Cotton among others. They have also appeared at the infamous Deep Blues festival in River Falls Wisconsin in 2007. "Bring Yo' Ass To The Table" is the culmination of everything these boys have experienced as a band during the four years of their existence, it's "greasy hot, shaved dry, and crazier than your smokin' methed-up ex-girlfriend who keeps singin' 'Down By The River I Shot My Baby' thru a two-dollar pawn shop mic she jerry-rigged thru that ol' gunshot black & white TV in the backyard and dedicating it to you with love m*therf*cker" to quote Deep Blues guru Rick Saunders.

About This Footage

The raw, unbridled energy of Hound Dog Taylor's "Left Lane Cruiser | Muddy Roots 2011 | Hound Dog Taylor" is a visceral experience that slams viewers into the midst of a whiskey-fueled frenzy. Filmed in 2011 at Muddy Roots Festival, this clip is more than just a rare performance – it's a time capsule capturing the essence of American blues.

At the height of their powers, Left Lane Cruiser was a two-man force to be reckoned with. Comprised of Joe Evans and Brenn Beck, they had honed their sound over years of playing house parties, street corners, and dingy garages. Their music was a fusion of North Mississippi Hill Country blues, raw and unapologetic, with a dash of punk attitude. This clip is a testament to their relentless touring schedule, having shared stages with artists like Robert Belfour and Black Diamond Heavies.

What makes this footage significant is the context in which it was filmed. Muddy Roots Festival was (and still is) a mecca for blues enthusiasts, a celebration of the genre's raw, unbridled energy. Taylor's presence at the festival added an air of authenticity to the proceedings, drawing from his own experiences as a Chicago blues guitarist and singer. This clip is a rare glimpse into the world of American blues in 2011 – a time when the genre was experiencing a resurgence, with artists like Left Lane Cruiser pushing the boundaries of what was possible.

The performance itself is a whirlwind of energy, with Taylor's slide guitar wailing and Beck's one-man drum kit pounding out a rhythm that's equal parts primal and infectious. The camera work is rough-around-the-edges, capturing the intensity of the performance in all its glory. It's not just a clip – it's an experience, one that transports viewers to the midst of a sweaty festival tent on a hot summer day.

What sets this footage apart from other live performances is its raw, unpolished quality. There are no fancy lighting rigs or slick camera angles here; just a straightforward capture of the music in all its glory. This is blues as it's meant to be – rough, unapologetic, and utterly captivating.

Watching "Left Lane Cruiser | Muddy Roots 2011 | Hound Dog Taylor" is like stepping into a time machine, transporting viewers back to a bygone era when American blues was alive and kicking. It's a testament to the power of music to evoke emotions, to transport us to another world. And it's a reminder that, even in 2011, there were still artists pushing the boundaries of what was possible – artists like Left Lane Cruiser, who refused to be bound by convention or expectation.

The clip ends abruptly, with Taylor's slide guitar wailing out one final, defiant note. It's a fitting conclusion to a performance that's equal parts raw, unbridled energy and musical mastery. This is blues as it's meant to be – wild, untamed, and utterly unforgettable.
