RIP Robert Hunter (born Robert Burns on 23 June 1941 in Arroyo Grande, CAliforniA, died 23 September 2019 in San Rafael, CAliforniA). Hunter commenting on his solo shows in recent years: “There’s nothing to compare to that, being up onstage and doing ‘Ripple’ in front of people who’ve grown up with that song. They love it, and I’m able to give it to them as close to the source as you’re going to get.”
