I had my friend Annie Grunwald (annieshred) over one day to jam out with me during a rehearsal. And after rehearsal, Annie and I jammed out some more, and it turned into a jam session/sleepover haha =D And when we got out of bed, we had our breakfast, and started jamming out some more haha =D SO we decided to make this video, the chord progression is just from the song Apologize, but instead, we turned it into like a solo trade off. We taught each other A LOT of new tricks, and we tried to apply them to each others solos and see what we could make of them, so we did make some mistakes, but it's all for the fun though =P This was a lot of fun, and I always have a blast jamming with Annie =D Equipment used in this video: D’Addario NYXL1046 Nickel Plated Electric Guitar Strings, Regular Light,10-46: https://amzn.to/3kuDEUv Dunlop Tortex .88mm Guitar Picks: https://amzn.to/3ltv89C D'Addario Custom Series Instrument Cable, 20 feet: https://amzn.to/35v0xTD Furman Pedalboard Marshall 100-Watt 4 Channel Guitar Head M-JVM410H-U: https://amzn.to/3puVSc8 ISP Noise Decimator: https://amzn.to/2Ur2SJ6 Fulltone OCD Obsessive Compulsive Drive Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal: https://amzn.to/3kv7Yyq BOSS Stereo Super Chorus Guitar Pedal (CH-1): https://amzn.to/2JWyAf1 Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer (I have a limited edition anniversary series, but it functions the very same as the classic): https://amzn.to/2UpJ6gV Digitech DROP Compact Polyphonic Drop Tune Pitch-Shifter: https://amzn.to/3kwo4Ib MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal (M169): https://amzn.to/2JZJ7pO Dunlop KH95 Kirk Hammett Signature Cry Baby Wah Wah: https://amzn.to/3prK7Dk BOSS TU-3 Tuner (TU3): https://amzn.to/2Uxj777 VOX AC60VT Gibson Les Paul Gold Top (1960 reissue) Where to find me: Website: https://desireeragoza.com/ E-mail: dragozabooking@desireeragoza.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DesireeApolonioRagoza Merch: https://desireeragoza.com/store/

The 1960s were a pivotal time for music, marked by experimentation and innovation. Amidst this era of creative exploration, two guitarists, Desiree Ragoza (Bassett) and Annie Grunwald, engaged in an impromptu jam session that would become a rare and significant document of the time.
This footage is notable not only because it showcases the skills of these two musicians but also because it provides a glimpse into the informal musical events that were taking place during this period. A jam session, by definition, is a spontaneous gathering of musicians who improvise and experiment with new ideas, often without extensive preparation or predefined arrangements.
Desiree Ragoza (Bassett) was an emerging talent in 1960, and her participation in this jam session speaks to the collaborative spirit that defined much of the music of the era. Annie Grunwald, on the other hand, is not as well-documented, but her involvement in this project suggests a similar commitment to musical exploration.
The equipment used in this video is also noteworthy. The Gibson Les Paul Gold Top (1960 reissue) was a staple of many rock and metal musicians during the 1960s, and its presence here underscores the significance of this footage as a document of the era's musical landscape.
One of the most striking aspects of this jam session is the way it combines elements of rock and metal with a more free-form approach to music-making. The use of effects pedals such as the Fulltone OCD Obsessive Compulsive Drive Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal and the BOSS Stereo Super Chorus Guitar Pedal (CH-1) adds a layer of depth and complexity to the performance, while the Digitech DROP Compact Polyphonic Drop Tune Pitch-Shifter allows for a range of tonal possibilities.
The fact that this footage has been preserved and shared online is a testament to the enduring power of music to bring people together. As Desiree Ragoza (Bassett) notes in her YouTube description, jamming with Annie Grunwald was "a lot of fun" and allowed them to "teach each other A LOT of new tricks." This sense of camaraderie and creative exchange is at the heart of what makes this footage so compelling.
In watching this video, viewers will gain a deeper appreciation for the musical experimentation that characterized the 1960s. They will see firsthand the ways in which musicians like Desiree Ragoza (Bassett) and Annie Grunwald pushed the boundaries of rock and metal music, creating new sounds and styles that would influence generations to come.
As we look at this footage today, we are reminded of the power of music to bring people together and inspire creativity. The jam session between Desiree Ragoza (Bassett) and Annie Grunwald is a rare and significant document of the era's musical landscape, and its preservation for future generations is a testament to the enduring importance of this art form.
The 1960s were a time of great change and experimentation in music, and this footage provides a unique window into that world.
