KILLING MOON cover /version of "Waterfront" by Simple Minds. First release from the album Sparkle in the Rain in 1983. This album is one of my favourites ever, incredible sound, production, performance and songs. This was "the opening song" for TV1 news at 1500 for a few years. I saw the band playing in Marbella back in late 80s early 90s and was the first song in the concert, and was absolutely killer. If I had to choose a band to have played with, they would be the simple minds. The nucleus of Simple Minds consists of the two remaining original members, Jim Kerr (vocals) and Charlie Burchill (electric & acoustic guitars, occasional keyboards after 1990, saxophone and violin). The other current band members are Ged Grimes (bass guitar), Cherisse Osei (drums), Sarah Brown (backing vocals), Gordy Goudie (additional guitar & keyboards). Notable former members include Mick MacNeil (keyboards), Derek Forbes (bass), Brian McGee & Mel Gaynor (drums).
