VIRON was a traditional Heavy Metal band from Germany with tons of US-Metal influences who have disbanded in 2009. Singer Alexx Stahl and drummer Neudi are now in ROXXCALIBUR (www.roxxcalibur.com). The song "Liberator" was the opener of Viron´s second CD "Ferrum Gravis" (Metal Heaven Records/SoulFood) that received tons of great reviews and general feedback. Viron´s style mabye was too much in the middle of "Metal Underground" (for people who enjoy festivals like Keep It True or Headbangers Open Air) and regular metal "for everyone" with Ferrum Gravis, while their debut "NWOGHM" (New Wave of German Heavy Metal) is now called an underground classic. Viron have also appeared on the Manilla Road tribute Double-CD "The Riddle Masters" with a great version of "Dreams of Eschaton". They´ve played Headbangers Open Air and Swordbrothers Festival and shared the stage with bands like Tierra Santa, Morgana Lefay, Sacred Steel, EZ Rider, Bonfire, Shy and many others. They also got attention for their coveversion of EXXPLORER "Run for Tomorrow" that was on their first CD-Demo only. For fans of US-Metal and traditional metal in general!
Manilla Road was an American heavy metal band from Wichita, Kansas, founded by Mark "The Shark" Shelton and Scott "Scooter" Park (bass). Beginning in 1977, the early years of Manilla Road were spent playing mostly hard rock, psychedelic rock and progressive rock but eventually became noticeably heavier with time, the band's later heavy metal sound becoming more and more apparent with the release of Crystal Logic in 1983.
