This is part of our new short video series for 594 Miles From Chicago, called "3 Questions with". Each artist we interview will have 3 questions to answer at the end of their interview! In this video we have Big Ray (Ray Stewart) who joins us at B.L.U.E.S on Halsted in Chicago, IL. ______________________________ About Big Ray: Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Big Ray was surrounded by the musical influences of Buddy Scott and Johnny Dollar. Big Ray began his musical career as a singing bartender at Brady’s, where the nightly lineup included Billy Branch and the Sons of Blues, Jody Williams, Willie Kent and the Gents, and J. W. Williams. Ray sang along with the bands and entertained while mixing drinks for a roomful of customers. In 1989, he formed his own band and performed as the opening act for Smilin' Bobby. Being a solid drummer as well as a dynamic vocalist, Ray was soon in demand and working nonstop. Big Ray was asked to join the legendary Otis Rush blues band in 1995. Along the way, he played with Otis Clay, Luther Allison, John Primer, Lefty Dizz, Syl Johnson, and many more. Currently, Big Ray tours with Jimmy Johnson as his bandleader and drummer. He plays regularly at one of Chicago’s oldest and most respected blues clubs, B.L.U.E.S. on Halsted. Big Ray and Chicago’s Most Wanted play regularly at clubs all around Chicago as well as festivals throughout the United States and around the world. He uses his charismatic style and soulful voice to draw a crowd in and keep the audience involved. Chicago’s Most Wanted is a group of world renowned musicians who have played with everyone in the blues community! Heavy hitters and professional playing ability, always gets them coming back to perform. https://www.facebook.com/Big-Ray-and-Chicagos-Most-Wanted-132995173415651 https://www.bluesbirdtalent.com/bigrayandchicagosmostwanted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkjUdGJWyLk https://www.facebook.com/ray.stewart.9081323 _________________________________________________________ Song Used: Can't Leave Her Alone · Big Ray & Chicago's Most Wanted Travellin' Lite ℗ 2010 Big Ray Released on: 2010-09-01 ________________________________________________________ Listen/Buy Music Here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0OQl9aOa6JuKLuqXRzjSbw https://www.amazon.com/Travellin-Lite-Chicagos-Most-Wanted/dp/B004MFOB2C https://music.apple.com/gb/artist/big-ray-chicagos-most-wanted/id418480319 **I DO NOT OWN ANY RIGHTS TO THIS MUSIC** ---------------------------------- Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/594MilesFromChicago Follow us on Instagram: @594milesfromchicago Film MERCH: http://www.tinyurl.com/14nug9yj Donate to 594 MFC Paypal: Connor@Bluesbirdtalentagency.com http://www.Bluesbirdtalent.com ©BLUESBIRD TALENT AGENCY LLC.
