This is part of our new short video series for 594 Miles From Chicago, called "3 Questions with". Each artist we interview will have 3 questions to answer at the end of their interview! In this video we have Melvin Smith who joins us at Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago, IL. ______________________________ About Melvin Smith: Melvin has been playing bass guitar for over 25 years in venues from small clubs to large international festivals. His career has had him performing in bands with such luminaries as Koko Taylor, John Primer, Lurrie Bell and Billy Branch. He has also performed with Carl Weathersby, Big James and the Chicago Playboys, Jimmy Johnson, Phil Guy, Lefty Dizz, Melvin Taylor, Deitra Farr, Zora Young, Charlie Love, Jimmy Burns and many others. Melvin is one of the most sought out bass men in the Chicago blues scene today. His prowess as a first-call bass player is a given. But Smith is more than just a dynamite instrumentalist; he’s also highly-skilled at handling the day-to-day functions that keep a band on the road, running at full speed. https://www.bluesblastmagazine.com/featured-interview-melvin-smith/ https://www.allmusic.com/artist/melvin-smith-mn0000871814/credits https://www.facebook.com/melvin.smith.359126 https://www.mydigitalpublication.com/publication/?m=21747&i=637197&view=articleBrowser&article_id=3540963&ver=html5 Song Used: Hard Pill To Swallow · Koko Taylor Old School ℗ 2007 Alligator Records & Artist Mgmt., Inc Released on: 2009-06-18 Composer: Taylor Lyricist: Taylor Music Publisher: Voodoo Woman Music adm by Eyeball Music Purchase Music Here: https://www.amazon.com/Old-School-Koko-Taylor/dp/B000VGMCJU **I DO NOT OWN ANY RIGHTS TO THIS MUSIC** ---------------------------------- Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/594MilesFromChicago Website: https://www.594milesfromchicago.com Follow us on Instagram: @594milesfromchicago Film MERCH: http://www.tinyurl.com/14nug9yj DONATE TO 594 MFC: Paypal - Connor@bluesbirdtalentagency.com ©BLUESBIRD TALENT AGENCY LLC. https://www.Bluesbirdtalent.com
