1969-70 Television Season 50th Anniversary: The 5th Dimension (1991 interview)

As we set sail on our journey to learn more and remember the 1969-1970 television season, we'll take a moment to share a 1991 Entertainment Tonight interview with the 5th Dimension members, Florence LaRue, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. as they reunited and toured that year along with Lamonte McLemore and Ronald Townson. Billy Davis Jr. and Marilyn McCoo wrote a memoir a few years ago, titled 'Up, Up and Away', and the book is on our Television Vanguard library shelf and highly recommended. The duo still tours and records. Lamonte McLemore also penned a memoir a few years ago, and Florence LaRue is still a member (the last of the original five) of the current Fifth Dimension, who also record and tour. Original member Ron Townson passed away in 2001. Marilyn McCoo has a birthday coming up later this week... September 30th. Our best wishes to her and family, including the incomparable (and awesome!)
