Download at iTunes : http://tinyurl.com/kq7z4xr Stream with Spotify : http://tinyurl.com/lql4axk Ashford & Simpson Nickolas Ashford (May 4, 1941 – August 22, 2011) and Valerie Simpson (born August 26, 1946) As performers, Ashford & Simpson's best-known duets are "Found A Cure" (1979) and "Solid (As a Rock)" (1984 US and 1985 UK). The duo was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002. Ashford and Simpson were also recipients of The Rhythm & Blues Foundation's Pioneer Award in 1999, and ASCAP's highest honor, the Founder's Award in 1996. The duo essentially had two careers: one as a successful writing and producing team and the other as singers and performers themselves.

About Ashford & Simpson

[a268165] and [a268169] were a husband and wife songwriting-production team. They started writing and recording together in 1964, and two years later wrote their first hit song - "Let's Go Get Stoned", recorded by [a30552]. They then took up staff positions at [l1723], where they wrote and produced hits for [a18984] and [a47742]. During their stay at Motown, Valerie released a couple of solo albums which flopped, prompting her and Ashford to leave in 1973. From then on, the duo concentrated on m...
