I Found A Love(Live) - Falcons - 1962
Detroit's legendary breeding ground of future soul singers, the Falcons, had one of their biggest hits in early 1962 when, I Found A Love, peaked at #6 in March of 1962. Written by group members, Wilson Pickett, Willie Schofield and Robert West, I Found A Love, actually launched Pickett's solo career from that time forward. The Falcons recorded consistently from 1956 as a quintet until 1964 and featured at one time or another members such as Pickett, Eddie Floyd, Joe Stubbs, and Mack Rice, who would all go on to become prominent singer/songwriters on their own. The Falcons were re-formed as a quartet in 1966 and became more of a traditional soul group for several more years with a more updated sound.
