In August 1979 Johnny Shines performed in Melbourne, Australia over three consecutive nights at three different venues (and a couple of performances in Sydney the following week). On each of the Melbourne gigs Johnny opened the night with a solo set on acoustic guitar before being joined by a local band on electric guitar (in my case, The Hepsters on the first two nights).
