Upload #2220 ~ HQ from UK 45 pictured ~~ Rousing UK Blues Vocal dancer. Cyril one of the UK Blues Pioneers with Alexis Korner. Sadly he didn't live past Jan 1964 so the 'Mod' influence on both of these never got the chance to progress like John Mayall & others did. A side is "Country Line Special' a Harmonica Inst with a lot of energy & got a USA 'Dot' release. Pye Int usually USA recordings, maybe they wanted a bit of 'Chess' thinking if these played live to be known. This heads more to the Mod Sound with Beat backing touches if not quite yet. what would he have cut in 1965-66 if around? B side is "Sweet Mary" as the Artwoods later did, from the Huddie Ledbetter original. Mid 1964 Pye issue his 4 tracks as an EP as by then the UK R&B boom got interest in these sounds. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-Stars_(band) . Some tracks we've known 20-30 years are still not known much, if can take off once we post. General Pop isn't us, we like The Obscure Gems & Rare Classics. Our YouTube since 2016 has really got a huge amount of interest from Music Fans, this is fascinating to see. On seeing our early YT videos getting positive reaction, to realise the weary site we did use has little influence as our Stats show. We've got lots more to post & still are finding more to interest. Happy Listening! No Requests Please...
