Introducing the harmonica playing marvel that is Rob McCann. We were incredibly lucky to meet with Rob on Gibbet Hill, at the peak of the Devil's Punchbowl. Where he not only shared stories of murder and robbery, but also blessed us with his incredible song “Open up the Skies”. For anyone who has ever had a go on the ol’ mouth organ will know how incredibly hard this is, especially to make it sound this good. Big thank you to Rob for his time and letting us record him. About This Footage

The clip "EP04: ROB MCCANN - 'Open up the Skies' | Lonely Road Picture Show" is a rare and intimate live performance by Rob McCann, a talented songwriter and harmonica player. The 5:40-minute footage captures McCann's soulful rendition of his original song "Open up the Skies," recorded on location at Gibbet Hill, amidst the picturesque backdrop of the Devil's Punchbowl.

What makes this clip particularly notable is the unique setting in which it was filmed. The lush greenery and dramatic scenery provide a striking contrast to the raw emotional power of McCann's music. The camerawork is unobtrusive, allowing the viewer to focus on the artist's performance without distraction. This subtle approach underscores the importance of capturing live performances in an authentic and unvarnished manner.

The clip itself is a masterclass in acoustic storytelling. McCann's harmonica playing is breathtakingly skilled, imbuing the song with a sense of longing and yearning. His voice weaves a narrative that is both deeply personal and universally relatable. The lyrics are not explicitly stated, but the emotional resonance of the performance is palpable.
