Meeting Airrion Love: A Birthday Tribute to the Soul of The Stylistics #musichistory
Meeting Airrion Love: A Birthday Tribute to the Soul of The Stylistics Today we celebrate the birthday of Airrion Love, founding member of The Stylistics—the velvet-voiced soul group behind timeless classics like “You Make Me Feel Brand New” and “Betcha By Golly Wow.” In this special tribute, I share the unforgettable moment I got to meet Airrion backstage at the Atlanta Civic Center—thanks to my cousin Marshall Thompson of The Chi-Lites. It was that night I discovered something that changed how I heard one of my favorite songs forever. This is my tribute to a soul legend whose voice made the world feel brand new.
