@_delab_ and #delab bring you 'The King of Pop' Michael Jackson in a rare video, rehearsing his dance sequence for 'Thriller' with a group of dancers and his energy is lit. This video is for educational purposes. Michael Jackson was one of the most famous pop stars of all time. His music and fan base still thrive even after he has long passed away. The "Thriller" video, released in December 1983, doubled the album's sales to 20 million by October 1984. It broke racial barriers, elevated music videos with its narrative and dialogue, and its behind-the-scenes documentary started a trend.  The song was originally titled "Starlight". Producer Quincy Jones suggested "Thriller" for a more mysterious title. Songwriter Rod Temperton initially disliked it but eventually agreed.  The "Thriller" video, directed by John Landis, cost about $1 million, making it the most expensive music video ever made at the time. Jackson offset the cost by selling the making-of documentary to MTV and Showtime.  The "Thriller" video was inspired by Jackson's love of movies. Songwriter Rod Temperton said, "I came up with the idea that I should write something really theatrical."  Michael Jackson wanted every song on "Thriller" to be a hit. He said he was frustrated by albums with only "one good song, and the rest were like B-sides".  .Michael Jackson is critically regarded as a peerless entertainer whose career, defined by groundbreaking"Teflon" music that remained untouchable despite immense personal scandal, saw a stark decline from peak artistic heights to a more formulaic, commercial sound in his later years.
