Country Gardens - Solo guitar cover w. #tab #howtoplay #morrisdancing
Instrumental arrangement in open G tuning. This is a classic English folk tune first introduced as a 'standard' around the end of the twentieth century by William Kimber. It has since been covered numerous times by composers and (more recently) contemporary folk musicians. It's popularity is not limited to the UK, in America both Allan Sherman and Charlie Parker used this melody in their performances. It's generally a pleasant, catchy and highly evocative melody that suits the season and makes a great piece for festivals and gatherings.
