Charles & Ivory were actually revered New Orleans soulman Charles Brimmer and his brother but this almost mid-paced offering from the pair doesn’t have any ‘deep’ content whatsoever to my ears – rather it is a pleasant-enough but unexceptional reggae-influenced piece of Crescent City-style soul. American musician, bandleader, and songwriter, often referred to as the "King of the Jukebox". He gained fame in the 1930s and 1940s as the leader of Louis Jordan and His Tympany Five.
