Blue Oyster Cult: Buck Takes A Ride

Those who enjoyed Buck Dharma's "Stone Of Love" from the 2001 "Curse Of The Hidden Mirror" album may not know that it's genesis was MANY years earlier; in rehearsals for "Revolution By Night." The song was not included in that album and lay dormant for a very long time. This clip was typical of the occasional flight from the sometimes tedious rehearsal routine. They would finish the song and then Buck might just take off, dragging the band along for the ride. Everyone here seemed up for it. Tape was rolling at my loft in Brooklyn where we had worked a deal to do production rehearsals. Strict hours were kept and lunch was served by my then girlfriend, now wife. She was, and is, the queen of sandwiches. Recorded on Teac 80-8, recovered from the abyss of DBX AND Ampex 456 tape. Remixed May 2020 in Cubase 10 at "What The Hell Am I Listening To?" Studios. Hint: small 10x10-ex bedrooms make lousy studios! The usual cast, but the fine Rick Downey on drums.
