Jimmy Page Reflects on Led Zeppelin’s First Rehearsal That Changed Rock Forever | tribuune.

In this rare and deeply personal reflection, Jimmy Page looks back on the first rehearsal that created Led Zeppelin, a moment in a small room that would change rock forever. Speaking with warmth, clarity, and precision, Page explains how John Bonham, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones came together for the first time — and how the chemistry was instant, unstoppable, and unlike anything he had ever experienced. From his early love of Elvis Presley, Lonnie Donegan, and the skiffle movement, to the sessions and ideas that shaped Led Zeppelin I, Page shares how the band formed, what he heard in those first explosive moments, and why he knew this lineup was something truly historic. He reflects on the power of Bonham’s drums, Plant’s voice, Jones’ musicianship, and his own vision for a new sound — heavy, blues-rooted, psychedelic, and orchestral — a sound that would rewrite the rules of rock music. A powerful origin story told by the man who sparked it — the day Led Zeppelin began, and the moment rock music entered a new era. ✨ TIKTOK | https://www.tiktok.com/@tribuune Watch more on our TikTok!
