Ripped from a promotional VHS screener. Disappearance was a TBS Superstation original movie that first aired on April 21, 2002. A family on a road trip through the Nevada desert detours to Weaver, an abandoned mining town that turns up on decades-old maps but not current ones. What waits for them there is never fully explained, and the film runs on atmosphere and dread rather than answers. The picture reunited Harry Hamlin and Susan Dey, who had previously co-starred on L.A. Law.
