I am so proud to share this very rare footage with one of my bass mentors from Philadelphia. He is John Faison Jr. affectionately known as FAISON to all of us philly bass players. Faison is the bass player with the world renowed "The Soul Devalents" aka "Forces of Nature". I was happy to be here with Faison and to witness that exceptional playing that turned me on when I was a wee bit younger. They were our mentors and we loved to catch any show that we could here in Philaldelphia. They were our big brothers and through them we honed our craft and was introduced to Funk, R&B, and groove music in general. As you can see here in the year 2013 Faison has not lost anything. A matter of fact his sound is true and exemplifies what a bassist should sound like , holding the band down, and being the very important foundation. Along with drummer Gerald Sitx James they both drove that band creating so many memorable moments. I am so glad that I have reunited with all of the Soul Devalents and may God continue to bless them and thank you all so very much for contributing to my musical upbringing. Peace.
