Animal Dance - Under Pulse From the compilation album 'Radio Tokyo Tapes - Volume Two' released in 1984 on Ear Movie Records. Later also included in the collection ' The Best Of The Radio Tokyo Tapes' released in 1987 on Chameleon Records. Animal Dance, from Los Angeles, also released a single 'Fake/Sterile Mecca' on Guerrilla Action Records in 1984. Radio Tokyo was a recording studio in Los Angeles that was very active in the 1980s and well used. Artists that recorded there included The Minutemen, Savage Republic, Long Ryders, Phranc, Henry Rollins, and many others. Four compilation albums were collected together through the 80's featuring tracks from artists that recorded there, plus a 'Best Of...' collection. The studio was created by Ethan James, ex of the band Blue Cheer who sold on the studio in 1989 to work on other musical projects. Sadly he passed away at the age of 56 in 2003.
