This group (Earl Nelson, Curtis Williams, David Ford, Clyde Tillis, and Bobby Byrd [Bobby Day] ) also comprised one of the aggregations of the Hollywood Flames. Earl Nelson also became one half of "Bob and Earl", at first partnered with Bobby Day and then with Bobby Relf. Nelson achieved even more commercial success as "Jackie Lee", famous for the hit record "The Duck"

Earl Nelson, of Trafalgar and of Merton in the County of Surrey, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 20 November 1805 for the Rev. William Nelson, 2nd Baron Nelson, one month after the death of his younger brother Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson, the famous naval hero of the Napoleonic Wars and victor of the Battle of Trafalgar of 21 October 1805 (during which he was killed in action).
