Earl Nelson was a multi group Doo Wop veteran by 1966 when this record was released and had enjoyed hits as the lead voice on the Hollywood Flames Buzz-Buzz-Buzz in 1957, as half of Bob & Earl in 1963 with Harlem Shuffle and "The Duck" in 1965 as Jackie Lee on Mirwood, the home of many other future Northern Soul classics.
