Fairport Convention : Fiddlestix (live 1974)
Filmed on June 22 1974 at Birmingham University, UK by Guild TV (Birmingham University Film Club). The audio and video quality is poor but it's a very rare video of a classic Fairport line-up: Dave Swarbrick / Jerry Donahue / Trevor Lucas / Dave Pegg / Dave Mattacks. Sandy Denny was also part of the line-up but does not appear on this track. Fiddlestix appeared on the "Live Convention" album of the same year, as well as a single, studio version with orchestra, re-titled "The Devil In The Kitchen", released in Australia and NZ in 1973. That recording also appeared as the title track of an Australian compilation in 1998 - but called Fiddlestix again. www.fairportconvention.com
