Sea of Heartbreak
SEA OF HEARTBREAK Written by Hal David and Paul Hampton Popularized by Don Gibson (1961) Performed here as a tribute to Johnny Cash "Sea of Heartbreak" is one of country music's most recognizable songs of lost love and loneliness. Originally recorded by Don Gibson in 1961, the song became a major hit and has since been recorded by numerous artists, including Johnny Cash. The song compares heartbreak to being stranded alone on a vast ocean, searching for a way back to happiness. Johnny Cash's deep and distinctive voice gave the song an entirely new dimension, making it a favorite among Cash fans for generations. I hope you enjoy my tribute performance of this country music classic.
