The Temptations "Since I Lost My Baby"
Here is a great example of the Motown sound. "Since I Lost My Baby" written by Smokey Robinson and Pete Moore of the Miracles was recorded by The Temptations on the Motown Records' Gordy subsidiary and released as a single on June 1, 1965, reaching number 17 on the Billboard 100 chart and number 4 on the Billboard R&B singles chart. David Ruffin was on lead vocal and Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin, Paul Williams, and Otis Williams on background vocals. Instrumentation was by The Funk Brothers and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. It can be found on CD on The Temptations Greatest Hits album and on the 2 disk Anthology both on the Motown label. I do not own the right to the song, audio, or images contained in this video. The sound recording is administered by UMG. No copyright infringement is intended.
