What's The Buzz? - 2000 http://www.myspace.com/wtbuzz What's The Buzz? is a 70's Hard, Blues & Heavy Rock band, originating from Athens, Greece. The band was formed in 1992 by Chris Kissadjekian (bass, vocals), Takis Kalatzis (guitar) and Sotiris Lagonikas (drums). One year later, in 1993, female singer Jane Sabanikou joined the band and helped finalizing compositions that had been already written after the trio's endless jamming sessions. The outcome was a mix of 70's hard rock, funk, blues and heavy rock and the band decided to make their first demo recording in 1994. Guitarist Takis Kalatzis left What's The Buzz? in 1996, to be replaced by Leo Chronopoulos who was also to be replaced in 1998 by talented young guitarist Phil Sklavenitis. Two years later and with a few new songs, the band went into the studio to record their debut, self-titled album "What's The Buzz?" which was released in December 2000 by Hitch Hyke Records. The band did many gigs all over Greece, few to mention with great names such as Whitesnake, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, The Answer, Blues Wire, Cathedral (x2) & Spiritual Beggars. This year the band is opening new orizons with awesome Alex Flouros filling in band's axe-man position, writing new stuff and looking forward to a new release in the near future. Stay tuned!!! .
