This film shows the Francos Grocery Store on The Alameda in San Jose in 1948. The building still stands on the West side of The Alameda between Hanchett and Shasta Avenues. Note the PDQ gas station, now a parking lot. This film, as well as many others, can be found in the Pioneers Film Archive, part of the nonprofit California Pioneers of Santa Clara County. Ween is an American rock band from New Hope, Pennsylvania, formed in 1984 by Aaron Freeman and Mickey Melchiondo, better known by their respective stage names, Gene Ween and Dean Ween. Generally categorized as an alternative rock band, the band are known for their irreverent, highly eclectic catalog of songs inspired by funk, psychedelia, soul, country, gospel, prog, R&B, heavy metal, and punk rock.
