Many...many years ago I won a walk on role for the television show Beauty and the Beast, a show that ran from 1987 to 1990. I was a big fan already and was super excited to get to meet the cast and be on the show. Unfortunately there was a writer's strike and I had to wait a year or so before I could go on the show, but it was well worth the wait. Ron Perlman, aka the Beast, wasn't filming the day I filmed, but I did get to spend about half a day on the set with the cast and crew. I got a cool costume, makeup and got to meet Linda Hamilton, Roy Dortrice, and Armin Shimerman. It was the final episode of Season 2, The Rest is Silence, and got to see a few scenes filmed. Roy Dortrice was amazingly kind and showed me around all the sets and spent the day with me. Such a classy guy. I did also spend a good amount of time with Linda Hamilton, and got to film a very brief scene with both Linda and Roy. They tried to get me a line in the episode, but unfortunately it didn't happen. It was amazing get to work with both of them in a scene! Linda was on point and even though in the scene you can see her reaction upon seeing "Father and I" at the tunnel entrance, her expression was one of surprise, concern and fear for Vincent not being there and finding the two of us instead. She was in character and that was her reaction, but no one other than me ever say it and I'm grateful to have got to see such a performance up close and personal. This was truly an amazing day and the pictures don't really do it justice, but it gives you are really good idea of what the day was like.
