Charlie Thomas
Charlie Thomas sang with The Five Crowns. They became the "new" Drifters that George Treadwell brought in to take the place of the recently terminated Drifters. On Atlantic Records they first hit with "There Goes My Baby" in 1959. When Ben E. King left in 1961, Charlie sang lead on "Sweets For My Sweets" and "When My Little Girl Is Smiling". Charlie sang on more Drifters' songs than any other singer. He is still going strong and singing some of the greatest music ever recorded in the golden age of rock 'n' roll.
